PCC257 Back To School – Letters for You

Ok friends, are you ready for a "REAL" post? This is about as real as it gets. For a moment I was mortified. Then I was frantic, trying to figure out how to fix it…then I just LAUGHED and decided to be grateful for this story.

I was so excited for this challenge, because every year I create these signs for my boys, then I add them to their scrapbooks – it's kind of a 3 in one deal for me.

I couldn't believe how great they turned out. I loved the colors – everything. I took a pic of the 2 boys by themselves, then together as they are now at middle school together and leave earlier. Then the little guy woke up, so I got him in on the act…. how cute!!!

So I get them dropped off and get ready to do pics with the little guy by himself… and he looks at me above those darling freckles, with his sweet little blue eyes and says, "Mommy, did you mean to put 2017?" I told him that what I did was how you usually show a span of years…and then I looked again!!!! OH SERIOUSLY????

 Yeah – look again…

PALM straight to FOREHEAD!!! What to do? Run back upstairs, try to patch them up? Wait for my kids to come home and pretend it's morning and retake the pics?

I thought about it, I did… but…

Guess what? This kid GETS ME… he said, "Mommy, you have been SO busy. It's ok, watch!!!!" I love him. He's right. I was running around like crazy for a few days. Like MOST moms I think… and I am NOT perfect. I don't want my boys to think I was a perfect mom. I want them to KNOW that I wasn't perfect but I TRIED. I tried HARD to be a GOOD mom that did her best to give them wonderful memories.

So the photos are staying as is. The signs are staying as is… I have an awesome story to tell. I am GRATEFUL for that.

Here is the list of supplies that I used. By clicking on the images below, you can the items directly to your cart so that you can create this card, and MANY other projects too!!!
