Stampin’ Fancy Friday – Holiday Time Saver – Quick and Easy Gift Card Gift Bags

 Hi there!

Do you often find yourself short on time during the holidays? (For me it's most days – LOL) Over at Stampin' Fancy Friday, we are sharing our ideas on ways to help you out with that a little bit. All of us are sharing projects and tips on making these times a little less hectic for you.

One easy time saver during the holidays is definitely keeping a few gift cards on hand. I love the ease, but know it sometimes can lack that personal touch. One way to overcome that is super cute, but still super easy handmade gift bags and mini cards. What's great about these is that each bag only takes a half sheet of our awesome Designer Series Paper!

Fancy Friday gift bag - Jeanna Bohanon

For these ones, I used the GORGEOUS Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper. These really are quick and easy! Would you like to know how to make them?

  • Cut a sheet of Designer Series Paper to 6" x 12"
  • Score at 3/4", 4 3/4", 5 1/2", 6 1/4", 10 1/4", and 11".Ff scoring
  • Turn and score at 1" and 4 1/2" Ff scoring 2
  • If you don't have markers for your scoring tool, you can always make your own by adding strips of a post it note Ff tip 3
  • Cut along the score lines shown below, and pre-fold your bag Ff tip
  • Adhere adhesive to the edge flap on the left as shown in the photo above to create the bag.
  • Punch holes in the top of the bag and add ribbon for handles.
  • Not sure if you will use them all right away? You can always make a bunch of them, and not adhere the bottom flaps until you are ready. This way, you can keep them folded flat, and just adhere the bottom flaps when you are! Ff tip 2
  • I often get impatient and want to start working on the next one while my adhesive is drying. A large punch works great to help hold the flaps in place once you apply adhesive and are waiting for it to dry. Just place it inside and get going on the next one!

I added tiny little gift cards to each one. A 2"x3" card is just the right size to slip on to each bag.
