MDS Blog Hop time – All about Fall
I LOVE fall. I really loved fall when I lived where there was a REAL fall. Las Vegas has beautiful weather during fall, but that's about it. I miss the cool crisp air, the smell of damp leaves, all the colors, the activities, the food….
Every year I try to capture as much of that essence as I can in my home. Pumpkins, silk leaves, candles, warm blankets and LOTS of baking.
I do think that most people prefer to see MDS scrapbook pages, but I am attending an event in St. George and I am planning on doing a little card swapping. This gave me a good reason to combine the two and create a Fall theme card for the Blog Hop and the event!
I can not get enough of this Spice Cake paper. The colors are amazing and I love the designs. I also love the emboss resist look. I created it by "stamping" in Very Vanilla and changing the drop shadow to the More Mustard with a higher blur and lower opacity.
I hope you enjoy it. I actually was inspired by a card I saw somewhere on-line. Now, go check out all the great MDS creations from the rest of the team!
Jeanna your card is beautiful! I love the emboss resist look too – it looks fabulous with this stamp!! I used to do cards more often, but then I really got going on my scrapbooking and kind of forgot about it. I really should pick that back up again.
