Happy New Year MDS Blog Hop Style

Happy New Year. I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays, we had a wonderful Christmas. I love seeing the faces on my boys Christmas morning when they come down the stairs. We spent some wonderful family time together.

Now that the New Year is here, our blog hop is back in action with a wonderful renewal of ideas and inspiration. I chose the theme for this week and to go along with the calendar, I chose "NEW" and I challenged the designers to use something NEW.

The page I created is a first of firsts! My first time using this great new paper from the "Number One" kit. I LOVE the great masculine colors and embellishments! BUT, more exciting for me is what I got to scrapbook. Wednesday my oldest son lost his first tooth. It's been rather wiggly for a while now, and when he came home from school we were hanging out outside and I asked to feel it. I knew it was ready to come out. I called his Daddy over to "check it", wrapped my arms around him from the back (tenderly, not like keeping him from escaping – LOL) and with one quick tug, my husband was holding that sweet little tooth in between his fingers. I brought him inside and made him an ice water to swish with and then of course, out came the camera. I also set to work making him a cute little container for the Tooth Fairy to hold his tooth. We made a big deal at bedtime, it was so much fun!
