#tgifc167 Color Combo Challenge with Stampin’ Up! P.S. You’re the Best

Hi there! Happy Friday! We had a great week here – had a grand time celebrating the 4th of July… it's one of my favorite holidays! It's been sitting between 105-110 degrees here in Las Vegas, and a perfect way to beat the heat is with Stamping! This cool color combo we have at #tgifchallenges this week is PERFECT!

I was drawn to this set immediately when I browsed through this year's Stampin' Up! Catalog. I remember typing out reports for school on my Mom's old blue typewriter. It had a carrying case, and I would bring it over to the table. I remember learning how to double space after each sentence, trying to figure out how to make the Tab button line things up perfectly, and trying to remember when to shift it to the red part of the ribbon. Oh, and of course, making sure that the White Out liquid was completely dry!

Who knew that typewrites would become "trendy"? I never thought so! I'm so glad they are though! Look how perfectly this set works with this sweet color combo -

After stamping the little alphabet stamp on in Smoky Slate on the Smoky Slate layer of card stock, I ran it through the Big Shot with the new, AMAZING (aka MUST HAVE) Subtle Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. I LOVE this folder. It's perfect for when you need just that little touch of texture!

The typewriter and flowers are stamped on Watercolor paper and colored in with just our regular Stampin' Write markers. The colors turn out so vibrant that way!

Would you like to make a card like this for yourself? Let me make things a little easier for you. Here are the supplies I used -
