Stampin’ Up! MDS Blog Hop – Hiya Cupcake!

This week Aleasha chose the very fun theme of "Cupcakes" or possible baking if we needed a little broader theme to work with. I really considered doing a page about some of the cupcakes I had created, but I also needed some birthday cards for my stash, so I figured I would "kill two birds with one stone" and make up a cute card that could be used for girls both young and young at heart.

Blog Hop week 3-001 The cupcake is from the stamp brush set So Cute. I colored it in using the drop shadow/punch technique.

It is "stamped" on a Very Vanilla circle matted on Basic Gray. That is layered on a So Saffron scallop circle punch. Inside the scallops of the circle I placed a small circle punch filled with one of the polka dot patterns from the Hello Baby paper.

The 3 rectangles are filled with Hello Baby papers and I placed a layer of Very Vanilla on top and changed the opacity to give it the look of vellum. 4 little Basic Pearls adorn the corners to finish it off.

I hope my recipients like it, and I hope you like it as well!

Now, go check out my other talented MDS friends!
