TGIFC #28 Gorgeous Color Combination

Banner

 Hey, Hey!!! Happy Friday!!!

You know how "they" say, "Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it"? Well – Fall weather has come to Las Vegas! Now don't laugh, but it is COLD. Like in the 50s. When it gets down to the 70s here I want a jacket. The fall colors haven't come with the temp changes, but I think a trip to the mountains to see some trees might happen soon, that will make me happy! Until then, I am going to enjoy the beautiful, fall inspired color combo this week!

These are very saturated colors, and could become very heavy, but I wanted a soft look for this card. I started by embossing the image in white embossing powder on Shimmery White Cardstock. I then used the colors from the challenge and a little Pool Party to do some water color resist. Here is the full card, then let me show you a nice close-up so you can see the technique…

Here is the close up. By using watercolor, it helped me really keep this light looking.

Now that we have our AWESOME Thick Whisper White cardstock, making lovely "white" cards like this is so easy! I love how sturdy they feel!

I really hope that you'll play along with our challenge. Make sure to link up over at #TGIFC this week and show us what you got.

  1. Lovely card Jeanna! The watercoloring is beautiful, the perfect light touch. I love how you stacked everything on the right side of the card.
