Stampin UP! Submission

Ok, so a while back I posted that I put myself in a more vulnerable place than I usually do. I applied with Stampin’Up! to be a "Make and Take Display stamper". We’re suppossed to find out this week if we’re chosen I think, I’m sure hundreds of demonstrators enter….anyhow, this is a wierd thing for me to do because seriously, I was the kid the never got picked for anything, so I stopped trying to do things that I didn’t think I’d be successful at. Odd I know – anyone else ever feel that way though? So long story short, one of the submissions was to be a 12×12 or 8.5×11 scrapbook page. This is the page I sent in. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I’d really like to know what you think…..

The page has a horizontal layout instead of the "typical" vertical. Hoping that will help set it apart a little bit. The main base is WIld Wasabi, with Designer Paper from the East Coast Prep collection which I totally love! The pattern reminded me of the balls my little dude was playing in. I placed one horizontal strip for interest, then stamped the title with the jumbo outline alphabet (the "play" and the dot from the "i" in time are on dimensionals). I stamped the cute little alligator from Wild About You in Wild Wasbi on a strip of white to go with the onesie….. The edges are scalloped with 1" circles punched from Real Red, Summer Sun, Green Galore and Tempting Turqouise to match the balls. These are some of my favorite pictures I’ve taken of my little guy so it was kind of a natural to work with them.

I know your opinions won’t change the outcome, but they’ll sure help if I don’t see a "congratulations" message later this week.

  2. Your page is great. I just began scrapbooking because my daughter is having a baby soon and all she wants is a baby book. Your page is very happy and appealing to the eye. I like the horizontal look too. Good luck!

  3. Jeanna, your page is awesome–bright, colorful, and very cheery!! I think they must have had a hard time selecting those display stampers if submissions like this were not accepted.
