One Stamp At A Time – It’s the Dog Days of Summer
Hi there!
Welcome back to the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! This month's theme is so much fun – the Dog Days of Summer. We were told we could do any Summer or animal theme project. I didn't really have a need for another Summer themed project, but I did need a birthday card! My sweet, little Bella came to the rescue!
I can't wait to give this to my friend! She is going to flip over this little puppy and box of hugs & kisses!
I tried like ALL of the patterns from the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper, but once I placed little Bella on this one, I knew it was it!
I love the Clear Itty Bitty Boxes! They are perfect little treat boxes! They are fun to decorate too. I wrapped this one with the Watermelon Wonder Stripped Ribbon, and a little topper that coordinates perfectly with the card.
A few tips to make these projects extra special:
* Watercolor the Bella image on Shimmery White card stock. That always adds a nice touch. I inked them image very carefully to omit Bella's parrot friend.
* Layer the images with the super versatile Layering Circles/Ovals dies! It adds a simple little detail.
* Heat emboss the sentiment with White Embossing powder on a little banner of Crumb Cake to make it stand out.
