MDS Blog Hop – Inspired by Rochelle

Happy Friday! I love Fridays, I know I've said that before, but I DO!!!

This week we were challenged to find inspiration in the blog of the person after us! That was easy! I love Rochelle's blog. The interesting part was being able to translate her style into something that worked for me and my BOYS, as she does a great job scrapping her daughter. I chose to work with her layout HERE. I loved the layout and was drawn to the monochromatic color scheme with the pop of bright color. Well, I kind of stayed with the layout and my ideas behind the color scheme completely changed once I decided on these great pictures

My little guy is growing up, and makes sure to tell me all day long. He is in that stage where he wants to do everything by himself and help with everything. It can be so hard, but he is doing so well and I WANT him to be able to do things for himself, but I know he is my last baby so part of me really wants to be able to do these things for him as long as possible.

The background color is Crushed Curry with the Natural Compostitions Overlay stamp to give it some texture. I used the Chevron pattern Designer Paper from the On the Go Kit and recolored it to Night of Navy.  A few touches of Cherry Cobbler and White and I LOVE the end result!

Let's go check out what everyone else has done this week!
