Fancy Friday – For the Men – Stampin’ Up! A Good Man

 August is almost over, and September is upon us – although you wouldn't know it here with our 109 degree days and excessive heat warnings. I'm ready for fall weather, it's my favorite. The end of August signals one of the busiest weeks in my entire year, and today's card marks one of those reasons, so I was VERY grateful to have this month's "For the Men" as our challenge theme….

 In my family, we have 6 birthdays in like a 5 day span this week! One is my Dad's, one is my kids, one is my niece….you get the idea. Sunday, I will share with you the cards I made for my niece and son, but today – this one is for my Dad!

 In going along with my IG/FB "Product of the Week" for this week, I chose to use the super versatile A Good Man stamp set. I love this set, because I enjoy coloring it so much, but there are a ton of techniques where you don't even really need to color it.

 I love the beauty and depth of our Pretty Peacock color, so it made a great base for this card. To create my own background, I just stamped the sentiment repeatedly in Pretty Peacock. After I colored in the image, I wanted some ribbon to coordinate, so I colored my White Flax Ribbon and Braided Linen Trim with my Blends!

 I often hear that masculine cards are challenging for a lot of people, so hopefully we will help you out with that today with tons of great inspiration. Up next on our hop is the super talented Charlet!
