One of those moments
So last night it was suddenly clear…I am the Mom of two toddlers. Don’t ask me why I didn’t realize it before, maybe it’s just that it seems since my baby has turned 1 he’s not acting so much like a baby. The boys have just really started truly playing together not just next to each other. To hear them giggle with each other is pure magic.
Now, the following photos are slightly disturbing to me. I am not a fanatical neat freak – but I do try realllllly hard to always keep my house in order, kids clean, laundry up – you know. So the fact that I took photos of this just goes to show how much of my old me is being rubbed away by pudgy little hands with dimples in them. Some of you will probably think – "Oh Honey that’s nothing – just you wait!"….well trust me, that thought has already entered my mind. This was my living room last night. Most of it caused by little guy! By the way, the big pile of tissues had just been on top of all of that stuff. I guess he thought I needed them being as I am fighting a flu (feeling better today). They didn’t end up everywhere until they started throwing them at each other!
Well, hope these give you a slight chuckle. Being as I was out of town last weekend and sick as all heck with a NASTY flu bug – haven’t had a chance to stamp in a few days. I promise I’ll get something up soon!
Did you come over and take pics of my house? lol. I’m glad I’m not the only one. I try to clean the house at least once a day than its not a mess on top of a mess! nad I try to keep up with dishes and Laundry as well. But I love to play with my boys and I love that they can explore and have fun too 🙂
Sounds so familiar. All of a sudden, one day, you see this little person in a whole new light. Seems like they just change from baby to toddler overnight.
The stuff around the house, on the floor (whatch out-don’t trip), you will get used to it. It is part of growing up, and being Family.
Thanks for sharing!
Heck; that’s not so bad… or i guess maybe it just looks familiar to me, and we only have one (3 1/2 year old boy). i just remind myself; he’s only young for a while and then he’ll grow up and i’ll look back fondly on the days where i had an EXCUSE to have a messy house!! hee hee!
