My 2013 Artisan Design Team Entries – Day 1

HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell I am just a little bit excited! I am so happy to be on the team again this year! Once again, this is a great team and I am looking forward to all the fun and creativity this year!

So, for the next 10 days, we will be sharing the 10 projects that earned us a spot in the Artisan Design Team. I hope you'll join us for TONS of inspiration!

I thought I would share my cards with you first – so let's get started –

Ok, so this is the first card I created for the contest and I LOVE it! It is a 5×7 card and  I colored each umbrella in MDS, adding lots of little details, then created this fun pattern. Let me give you a closer look at some of the details….

I had 2 of these cards printed so that I could cut out some of the umbrellas and add some dimension…I love our Stampin' Dimensionals and went through PACKS of them with my entire entry this year! What you really can't see very well in the photos is that EVERY umbrealla has some details highlighted with Crystal Effects. I used a toothpick (yes, seriously) to add tiny little touches to them!

TIP Have fun "hybriding". You'll see that I did a LOT of it this year. An easy way is to order 2 or more of your project, and then use one to cut apart and pop up elements with .

What do you think? It's a pretty fun card, right? Definitely perfect for a special person!
