2012 Artisan Design Team Projects for August part 2

Hi there! Welcome back 🙂 Thank you for all of the kind comments on yesterday's post.

I have two more Artisan projects for you today that feature the new In-Colors! I am seriously loving these new colors, they are so rich and vibrant. I had a really hard time getting a GOOD photo of these…. That "yellow" is actually Summer Starfruit! It took on such a different look with this color combo.  These were the first projects I made with our supplies. I was a little nervous to work with the "pretty" stamps, but yet I wanted to challenge myself and I was so drawn to the gorgeous rainbow effect of these colors together, so this is what I came up with

I embossed the Summer Starfruit layer with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, then lightly sponged the raised area with the new Illuminate Ink Pad (love it!). I layered it on some Raspberry Ripple, wrapped a piece of Gumball Green Ribbon around it, then added it to my Midnight Muse card. For the Heartfelt piece, I colored it with my In Color markers, then cut it out with the Apothecary Accents frame-lits. To make the flower accent, I used the Paper Daisies, colored in with Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit markers and attached them together with a Vintage Trinket little button brad.

I knew I wanted to make a coordinating gift item to go with this card, so I started with the same idea and just embellished a little more:

So I did the Heartfelt piece the same, then I tore a strip (I think 3 of them actually) of Midnight Muse Designer Paper, accordian folded it to make the ruffle and adhered that behind. Colored the flowers again, this time using a larger Antique Brad. I tied it around a storage jar with some Gumball Green Stitched Ribbon. Voila' a gift ready to be filled with some yumminess!

Here is a recap of all of the supplies I used, in case you'd like to get some for yourself to start creating

Come back tomorrow for some MDS creations featuring the In Colors!!
