2012 Artisan Design Team Projects for August part 1

HI!!!!!!!! Welcome to my first official Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team post!!! (yes that still makes me giddy to say) As part of the Design Team, each of us are receiving a box of stamping supplies every month that we will focus on to create projects that will hopefully inspire you to create too!!! I was so excited to see a box full of 2012-2014 In Colors!!! They made sure that we were set – Cardstock, Designer Paper, Ribbons, Re-Inkers, Ink Pads, Markers and More! It was like Christmas!!! It would be hard to say that there was any one thing that stood out as a favorite, but I LOVE the ribbon, and surprisingly, I LOVE the Layered Labels stamp set and Apothecary Frame-lits!!!! I say surprisingly, because although this is a GORGEOUS set, it was not one I would have chosen from the catalog for myself. BUT I LOVE IT!!! Maybe there is a little bit of a girlie side in me after all. Ok, so I guess that's enough blatthering for now, want to see what I made???

This first card is just a cute little 3×3 card. The base is Whisper White, with a layer of Gumball Green Cardstock and then Some Gumball Green from the Patterns Pack (LOVE). A little piece of the Summer Starfruit Stitched Ribbon added a fun little punch of color. I used one of the Paper Daisies as a focal point, but first I stamped some cute little dots from the Confetti stamp set in Summer Starfruit. Yes I love this color too!!! I created the center from a few different pieces. A Gumball Green mini scallop circle, the "create" stamp from Layered Labels and the For You from Itty Bitty Banners, cut with the coordinating Frame-lits! I think it's cute!!!

Next is another card I created that used Summer Starfruit.When we went to our Convention last month we got these AWESOME bags, with a Yellow and White chevron pattern with some gray trim. I LOVE mine.. (if you don't love yours and want to send it to me, I would gladly find it a loving home-LOL) Anyhow, that was the start of the inspiration behind this card. I hand cut the chevron design in Summer Starfruit and Whisper White, then added them to a piece of Basic Gray. A few more layers of Whisper White and Basic Gray on a Summer Starfruit base and I was ready to add my little sentiment. The "For You" came from the Layered Labels set. I stamped it once in Summer Starfruit, cut it out with the Apothecary Frame-lit, then stamped it again in Basic Gray, and punched out the sentiment with an oval punch. The Basic Gray layer behind the Summer Starfruit was made by die cutting 2 more pieces and layering them a little off-set. I thought it needed a little bling, so a few Basic Rhinestones added the perfect touch!
