Challenging!

Last night I couldn’t get to sleep thanks to the strong winds keeping me awake, so I took the opportunity to do this weeks color and sketch challenges! THis is a fun sketch, because you really get to showcase a large area.  I picked up both of these stamps on the used stamp table at my stamp store for $2 each. THey were fun to work with, but I would say that neither of them are my usual style, so it was a little challenging too.

I used my prismacolor pencils that I got got Christmas, and blended them with baby oil. Most people use odorless mineral spirits or gamsol to do their blending. I chose to use baby oil (I use the gel – makes it really easy) because 1. I had it on hand, and 2. I feel safer having this around than the other. Both of these main images are done on SU’s shimmery white paper which gives amazing effects!

Don’t forget to enter the candy drawing. I’ll be picking a name tomorrow!
