We have a winner!!!!!

ok, so I wrote down everyones name – twice if they guessed at what we did on date night, also for anyone that pre entered. Can you believe it – 96!!!! I was not about to cut those all up, so I started numbering from the first pre entry back. Random.org generated 5 numbers for me, I had them sort those five and my winner was:

MELANIE!!!!  aka batgirl!

Melanie has a fantastic blog Melanies Madness and even though I did not win her blog candy last week ( boo hoo šŸ™ ) I guess she can still win! hee hee.

This is what Melanie had to say:

wow your blog candy was worth the wait! and I will be posting a link on my site!

ok cheap date nights for us is getting the kids to bed and playing board games! DH has 700! he likes to buy 2 player games for us and its fun to play games. I like no brainer games right now as I dont have a lot of brains after the kids are in bed šŸ™‚
Also what did you do last night ummm… let me think.. Coffee and a Vegas show?

PS I just read Dovedri’s post I didnt know she said Board games till after I did! lol.

Melanie – don’t forget to email me with your address k?

Also: I have a second stash of goodies for the person who cam eclosest to guessing:

Heather Leech!

My hubby and I seldom have ‘date nights’, but when we do go out it’s often to a hockey game – WHL not NHL. A fabulous inexpensive night of entertainment…if you like hockey. If you don’t have or don’t ‘do’ hockey, there are lots of other local sports teams that offer inexpensive games….if you like sports.
Sorry I can’t come up with anything more romantic….have a Canucks playoff game on both tvs tonight!

Hubby and I actually went to a ball game! The Las Vegas 51’s (AAA- Dodgers), played the SLC team (AAA- Ca. Angels). Even though I am more of an Angels fan than a Dodgers fan, it was fun to see our team win! Even better, as we approached the gate the nicest couple asked us if we’d like to sit next to them in their season tickets as none of their friends could make it that night! We sat 6 rows behind the visiting team’s dugout! We had a blast – my honey really liked it when I got REALLLLLY upset about a HORRIBLE call by the 1st base ump! We had gone to a place called Chicago Brewing Co. for an early dinner, hubby had a beer sampler and I had their AWESOME home brewed Root Beer on Tap! So – it ended up being a really reasonable date and a lot of fun! I’m definitely more of a ball game kind of girl anyway.

Also – Susan Hatch – I have a few goodies for you . Why you ask? Your post made me laugh! My Mom and her new hubby count months and I give her the hardesst time for it! When I saw your post and how long you’ve been married, I had to call my Mom…she said you should win something for being the smartest!

I love love love reading all these ideas, and I am going to copy them into one doc. for future reference! Thank you all so much for playing. It has been a fun few days (look at what y’all did to my counter! šŸ™‚

  1. Oh my goodness! Oh my! I won? I actually won some blog candy? I cannot believe it but I want to believe it. I just walked in from a stamp-a-stack that we do at church, thought I’d just check…hope against hope…to see if I might have won. Nope, nope..YES! Yes? Is that really my name…well it is and I’m claiming the prize for whatever reason you picked me. But you must tell your mom for me that SHE and HER HONEY are the smart ones. Only the best and smartest know enough, are wise enough to celebrate every month’s anniversary. Life is short, and you never know when you have to stop counting. Thank you so much. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am.
