We Create Blog Hop – Stampin’ Up! Wrapped in Warmth

 Hi, Welcome Back!!!!

It's that time again. Time to Step It Up with the We Create Blog Hop. I think it's funny that I went Christmas shopping yesterday on Halloween, and I am posting a Christmas card today, but hey – when you're crafty, you have to got to try to stay ahead!

I LOVE how these cards turned out. I LOVE that I only used ONE ink pad too!!!

The cards are REALLY similar, so the stepped up version only adds a few touches. I wanted these cards to be VERY easy to recreate – either version! I was inspired to tweak a recent #TGIFChallenge sketch.

For the simple version I just used a simple Crumb Cake base card. I used the strips of Delightful Dijon, Crushed Curry, and Garden Green. To stamp the fun knit pattern on them, I used a Versamark Ink. It's also what I used on the Basic Black oval to emboss the main sentiment with!

I told you they were VERY similar. I added an additional Crumb Cake layer, matted on Basic Black to make it pop a little more. Then really, the only thing I changed was swapping out the stamped cardstock strips with strips from the Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Paper Pack. Do you have this? OMG! It is AMAZING!!! I am so in love with it – it really is SO versatile!!! I can see many uses for it, well past Christmas.

I hope you like seeing both versions.

  1. Lol, I stared and stared at this, trying to see the difference in the cards and I didn’t see it. I finally gave up and read the answer 😉 I love the warmth of these cards, thanks for sharing 😀

  2. I actually thought you just turned the Designer Series Paper over for a different effect. It’s amazing what a little framing can do for a card. All I need are the oval framelits.
