#TGIFC43 Some Beautiful Inspiration – Honeycomb Happiness Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration

 Hey, Hey!!! Happy Friday!!! 

 Ok, downside to having beautiful weather in February? Early allergy season! UGH – it's brought quite a bit of sicky, yuckiness around here. I've been up to my eyeballs in Kleenex, coughs and icky eyes. I have a feeling it might be a long season.

 I HAD to distract myself! STAMPING of course. I mean, it is what I love to do. I am so grateful for the creative challenges at TGIF!!! They really are awesome! Mercedes has been a rockstar providing us with great inspiration. Speaking of inspiration, this week is an Inspiration Challenge.

 I loved the colors in the card and the layout. Now, you might not see it at first, but be objective…..

Can you see it? I hope so! I have been OBSESSED with watercoloring lately. Expect to see quite a bit of it. I've always loved it and have really enjoyed picking up my Aquapainters again. Especially to color these sweet images from Honeycomb Happiness – an awesome, FREE, Sale-A-Bration stamp set for this year. (You can get one free with a purchase of just $50 in my on-line store)

 One technique that I had not tried yet was the "no-line" watercolor look. It took awhile, but wasn't hard. I simply stamped the image in Sahara Sand (I stamped it off once on my Grid Paper first so it was really light)then I just started coloring!

 One of the keys is to slowly build your color. Just to point out that I did use Stampin' Up!'s Shimmery White Cardstock. It doesn't take as much water or manipulation as Watercolor paper, but a lot more that Whisper White. I really love using it for Watercolor images. I wanted even MORE shimmer on the balloon, so my Wink OF Stella Glitter Brush to the rescue!!!
