#tgifc278 Inspiration Challenge – Jar of Flowers, Using Watercolor Pencils
Hi there, Happy Friday!
It's our last week of Summer Vacay here, we start school on Monday. Hard to believe I will have 2 in high school, and a 5th grader! It's been a busy last week too!!! We FINALLY had our backyard landscaped, no more desert dirt lot! I LOVE it, I am just looking forward to when it's not 110 degrees or more outside.
I think this was a FUN inspiration challenge this week, and looking at some of the other projects from the other designers was super cool, because we definitely all have our own spin on it! I kind of started with probably the most obvious of the inspiration….
I grabbed my Jar of Flowers stamp set again (did you see THIS card?). This time, instead of reaching for my go-to Blends, or using my reinkers and ink pads to watercolor, I grabbed my Watercolor Pencils. I chose to use them just like colored pencils, and didn't do any additional blending.

Took a while, but it was fun to do. The best advice I can give when coloring is to not be afraid of adding multiple colors to a color. Like the stems. When you see real stems, you see greens, browns, sometimes hints of orange… color that way. Same with flowers and leaves. Use multiple shades of greens and yellows in your leaves, different yellows and oranges in your flower petals…
