#tgifc225 Inspiration Challenge – All on Black – Stampin’ Up! Bird Ballad
Hi there! Happy TGIF…. on a Tuesday. Yeah, I know! I'm just a little late… BUT, better late than never? I hope. Honestly, I had a card read for Friday, and it's a gorgeous card. Why didn't I post it? Well, it photographed HORRIBLY – like AWFUL… so I didn't share it. Instead, I started over, and I am so grateful I did!
My gorgeous, sweet, kind, caring, funny, amazing sister in law celebrated a milestone birthday this last weekend, so I wanted to create a really special card for her. The gift inside was from another of our great friends and myself. The 3 of us do a lot together, so when I saw these 3 little birds, I knew they'd be perfect.
I absolutely love how it turned out. Granted, there was quite a bit of fussy cutting, but she's more than worth it!
In addition to fussy cutting the image, I added some "bits" of embellishments. I thought that by having small pieces of the Scalloped Lace Trim, Silver Thread, scraps of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and the Iridescent Sequins it might kind of resemble a fun little bird's nest.
To help make it even more special, I decorated the envelope flap with more of the Designer Paper, and I stamped a little on the inside!
At first I had it all on regular Basic Black cardstock, but I wanted it a little fancier, so I created my own shimmer mist by adding Frost White Shimmer paint to some rubbing alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer.
