OSAT Blog Hop – End of Summer – Stampin’ Up! Above the Clouds
Hi there! Welcome back! The summer days are dwindling, the start of school is upon us. It brings mixed emotions for me. I wouldn't be honest if I didn't say I was ready for the boys to be back in school. It was a busy summer, and three active boys make summer pretty messy and pretty loud, but I know that these summers are limited, and soon I will miss them… Being as this month's blog hop theme was End of Summer, I decided to work on a project that I do every year for my boys' first day of school, an unofficial end of summer to me….
Come the first day of school, I'll make the boys pose with these, in front of the same cabinet as always… Last year I decided to make their signs in their school colors, so it's SUPER easy for me to slide them into their scrapbooks as a divider of sorts! Dual purpose! (They'll all pretty much look the same, just the different colors.)
I thought that the Above the Clouds bundle would be perfect for this project. The balloons were a great way to showcase the school colors! I loved coming up with different ways to bring them to life with our Stampin' Blends. Not only did I try to make the balloons pop, but I had some fun with them for the letters of each of their grades! Creating ombre looks is so easy with their blending abilities!!!
I thought that this year I could also create a card for each of them to give them on the first day of school!
I kept with the same color scheme, but wanted to play with another balloon! I used the Night of Navy Blends along with the Seaside Spray Blends to create the same ombre look as the letters on the sign.
