MDS Blog Hop! Summertime Fun
Hi there!!!! Welcome, welcome….oh I hope you have had a good week. I had a GREAT week. On Monday I spent the day with my handsome hubby, while Nana and Papa kept an eye on the boys. We started our day with breakfast at Ruby's, a little diner at the end of the Balboa Beach pier, then we went for a long, long, long walk on the beach, then lunch at BJ's, a little more time just relaxing on the beach by ourselves, then off to a hotel in Anaheim to get ready to go to an Angel's game. Growing up in So. Cal. led me to be an Angels fan (I didn't become a Braves fan until I moved to Atlanta), but this game – this was AWESOME! You see – there is this (SUPER CUTE) young rookie on the team named Mike Trout – and he is SO FUN to watch (seriously, he is an AMAZING ballplayer and should be named Rookie of the Year) well, anyhow – my husband has decided that it's a win win situation – he bought FRONT ROW seats, just past the Angels dugout so that "I" could watch the game up close. Well, I am so glad he did, because I got his autograph!!!! WooHoo!!! Anyhow…. about my page:
On Sunday, Papa had a great idea to set out the sprinkler for the boys. I am so glad he did. I honestly believe that some things are necessary during childhood, and this is one of them. It was so fun to watch my boys just running around without a care in the world, soaking up one of the best moments of summer…
I took these photos on my phone, and love the warm vintage look that they have. I wanted the page to be pretty simple, with a bit of a vintage vibe, so I used the frames from the Fan Fair Ensemble against an Early Espresso background that I added texture to by using the Natural Compostitions overlays and the Vintage Overlays. I used my favorite alphabet punch – Lauren's Letters filled with Summer Starfruit and Cherry Cobbler polka dots and Midnight Muse and Gumball Green. The little polka dots at the bottom are from Candlelight Christmas, but I just searched for dotted line in the new global search feature.
Hope you like it!!! Now go check out what Rochelle has in store for you. Her projects are always awesome!

VERY cute, Jeanna! LOVE the vintage feel of this page!
Jeanna,I like the vintage-looking photos as well. The rest of the page carries out that vintage look perfectly. I love the way you have posted your supplies at the end with pictures of the downloads. Is this something that is possible through InLinkz.com or do you just do it yourself? I’d like to do this as well. It looks much neater than just listing supplies under the photo.

Cute! What font did you use?
Hi Julie!
Thank you! I used CK Becky for the journaling.
Thank you Sue,
Thank you! I don’t know if there is another way…I do use the Inlinkz tool
I was just telling someone about playing in the sprinklers, that was always fun. Your page looked great and showed
the fun too
Great layout! I love the little photo corners and the vintage-y feel. Super cute title as well!
Great page! I loved reliving the 3 boys in the sprinklers. They had so much fun. Takes me back to when you and your brother were enjoying the sprinklers in the same front yard. xoxox Mom
