Creation Station Blog Hop – What Do You Sea

Hi there! Happy May! I am so excited to be sharing with you today as part of the Creation Station Blog Hop! I am so excited to "sea" what everyone has created for this month's fun theme!!!! We were all challenged to be inspired by the ocean (or lake) this month for our projects!

 I was born and raised in Southern California, and I feel like the ocean is part of who I am. That being said, I was quite surprised when I went to look for something to create with this month, and I really don't have anything "beachy" themed!!!! WHAT ?!?!? Please don't take my "Californian card" away – LOL 

 No worries, it's just an opportunity to get creative, right? Out came my good ol' A Good Man stamp set. Now, this guy is just chillin' in his lounge chair. Not sure where he's hanging out. Could be in a backyard, waiting for the food on the grill to be done, but just maybe he's relaxin' on the beach somewhere, a little Jack Johnson or Common Kings playing on the speaker, the sound of waves crashing and seagulls in the background. Sounds good to me! Actually, REALLY good. Anyone up for a girls' beach trip?

 I wanted to create a feeling of him relaxed on the beach, so I decided to create that by layering pieces of embossed cardstock that I tore the edges of. Layered on top of some Crumb Cake cardstock, I think it kind of works! I colored in my Beach Bum with a selection of coordinating Stampin' Blends Markers.
