Best of Birthdays Step by Step
Here ya go – as promised, here are step by step instructiond for two cute and quick 3×3 cards using the Best of Birthdays stamp set. I hope you enjoy. These are just for YOU – my awesome newsletter subscribers!!!!!

CARD 1
Cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to 3″x6″, and score at 3″
Stamp the “Celebrate” image repeatedlyin Crumb Cake ink ( re-ink each time) to create a background. I start at the bottom left and work my way up. I think it’s easier to see that way. I did not use a Stamp a ma Jig, but you could 🙂
Stamp the present image in Basic Black ink once on the card in the middle – and once on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake
Cut out the sqaure part of the present from the scrap. Use a bright colored marker to color in the ribbon on both pieces. I used Real Red. You know you are opening the fine point of the marker when you see the fine stripe under the cap!
Use the brush tip of a Crumb Cake marker ( see the wide stripe under the cap?) and color in the cut out present image and a line just under and to the right of the present on your main card. This will accentuate the natural shadow.
Adhere the cut our present to the front of the card using dimensionals. You can also accentuate one or more of the “Celebrate” words by filling it in with the fine point of the marker.
CARD 2
Once again, start with a 3″x6″ Crumb Cake card base scored at 3″.
Stamp the ADORABLE little cupcake image in Basic Black Ink on a 2″ square piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Cut 2 coordinating piece of Designer Paper – Cut one to a 2 1/4″ square and the other to a 2 1/2″ square. I used a piece of Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo from the Brights collection Designer Series Paper stacks.
Layer all your pieces together – I used our SNAIL adhesive. I put a little on the back of the smallest piece first, then center that on the middle piece, put some SNAIL on the back of that and center it again on the largest layer, then repeat to attach it to the card.
Color in the stamp, cupcake line and heart. I used Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise.
I added Dazzling Details to the icing and heart and a tiny little Basic Rhinestone on the stand.
TaDah! Two cute little quick and cute cards.
