Artisan Wednesday Wow – Another Great Year
Hi friends!
Happy APRIL! This year is going so FAST! That's not always a good thing. April is a birthday month for me – well, not for me, but for my husband! I guess that's one reason why I was so excited that this box was FULL of BIRTHDAY GOODIES!!! I have been wanting to make a project like this for a while, and the Another Great Year stamp set from Stampin' Up! was just what I needed. When I paired it with the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper and the YUMMY Summer Starfruit Striped Ribbon it just all came together!
The front of the cake mix has a little pocket to hold these goodies – a packet of candles and cupcake pics!
Here are some detail shots. Of course I had to add some Gold Embossing powder…
All that's left is to run by the cake store and grab some gold cupcake papers! Then I'll be tucking this all away in a cute little basket (probably with ANOTHER yummy Summer Starfruit bow)
TIPS:
*I took the color combo straight from the Designer Series Paper Pack. When designing around a pack, I will usually grab a sheet of cardstock in every color included and that helps get the creativness flowing.
*I kind of just measured my cake mix box, and used 2 sheets of cardstock wrapped around it to make the wrap. I don't know if different brands are different sizes…

What a great idea & I love the “title”. You have such an eye for mixing colors. Definitely a gift (with some Stampin’ Up help). I am sure most people would love to receive this in time for their birthday….. As you know, mine is in June!
