A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop – Summer Nights
Hey, hey! Did you just LOVE this last month's Paper Pumpkin kit? I know I did! I had so much fun playing with the Summer Nights box and AWESOME add on kit! I came up with a few alternatives for you, and so did all the rest of the amazing designers on this hop!
I love that we get to come up with a card idea and a "3D" type item! I always TRY to get them coordinate, they don't always, but I managed to pull it off this month. Do you like making 3D/giftable items with your Paper Pumpkin kit supplies?
I'll share my gift item with you first -
I had this sweet little jar candle that was kind of begging to be dressed up. I wrapped a piece of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper around the candle, and tied it in place with a length of the sweet Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon. I then made a little tag with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The sentiment from the Summer Nights set was stamped in Versamark ink and embossed. The little jar is also from the Summer Nights set. I cut off the little hanger and made one with Linen Thread.
I made the card after I did the candle, and wanted them to coordinate -
I used the same Designer Series Paper and sentiment, then added the cute little Lightening Bug die cuts and the AWESOME vellum jars from the kit. To make the bugs a little extra fun, I added some Elegant Faceted Gems on their little bodies!
It really is a fun kit with ENDLESS possibilities. There's still a few days left to get in on this month's kit -
