A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop – On My Mind

Hi there and welcome back to my monthly A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! This month we are featuring some great alternative ideas using the July Kit – On My Mind. This was a unique kit as it coordinated with three different product suites from the Annual Catalog! 

 So, I don't happen to have the coordinating suites, AND I was making these in a travel trailer during family vacation! I brought one craft tote with me, a few sheets of cardstock, and a few other "essentials". Paper Pumpkin is seriously awesome to travel with because you have everything you need to create your projects.

 This month instead of creating something completely different with my supplies, I decided to just create some alternate cards. Coolest thing – I still have all of THIS left to create with!!!

Here is how the kit is designed –

 

 Here is how I decided to play!

 With the exception of providing new card bases for these, and an additional ink pad, EVERYTHING else was IN THE KIT!!!

 So, the kit came with these GORGEOUS, lined envelopes…well, mine are being sent in plain envelopes because I couldn't resist using them!!! I opened them up and cut them into these gorgeous layers! I also cut the back off the Kraft cards to use as a layer! LOL!!! What do you think?

 This is the only card that I didn't use the envelopes on! I did however cut up the card that was intended for the sailboat card into layers and added them to a Pretty Peacock card base.

Yeah, I used the liner again. This time I used it on the bottom half of the card and added the pretty patter that I was "supposed" to use! They were layered on the backs of one of the other card bases from the kit I cut off, and layered on to Terracotta Tile card bases. The other little strip of Terracotta Tile is actually a small banner piece included in the kit that I cut in half to make it look like a longer strip!
