2011 My Year to GROW with Stampin’ Up!

So, I know I told you my story about my 5 year walk at Convention this year, but I felt that I needed more than just a slideshow of photos to share my special moment. I received an email from another Demonstrator – Sherrill Graff with a card sketch on it, so I used that as my inspiration. I wanted to play around with the lovely new download designed for Convention Attendees, so it seemed like the right time to focus on me. Not something I tend to do. With that said, here is what I came up with…

 
 I used the Convention Kit papers. The background is a paper, then two square punches filled with more papers from the kit. The ribbon is the new 2011 In Color Ruffled Ribbon in Wisteria Wonder. The little butterlies I used as little tage were embellishments in the kit. Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not like butterflies…so it us a little funny that I would have a scrapbook page featuring me with butterflies on it. I also used the GROW Convention stamp and "colored in" some of the flowers by placing color filled punches behind the stamp. I also used a polka dot butterfly from the embellishments behind the letter "R" flower for a touch of whimsy. The cool scrolly-flowery thingy in the top right corner is an embellishment included in the kit and just gorgeous! This page is very me. I love pairing black with the softer colors…I love the little "pop' it gives.
