Happy 1st Anniversary – MDS Blog Hop!!!

 

I seriously can't belive it's been a year already! I know that I have grown so much this past year, both with my MDS abilities and personally. I feel like so many good things have come my way this year, and a lot of it is because of the increased confidence I have in myself that all started when Erica invited me to be a part of this group.

 Just for fun, I thought I would link you back to my VERY FIRST POST last year, and funny, as I was looking for that post, I came accross THIS ONE – very reflective I think.

 So this week, Cindy suggested that we create a card to celebrate the occassion. As much as I love MDS – now MDS2 (WOOT WOOT!!!!) I still sometimes struggle with cards!! I don't know why….and maybe this week I was overcome with the excitement of the MDS2 release…ANYHOW, what is a good stamper/crafter to do – CASE of course. I pulled out an adorable card that I received in a Convention Swap from fellow Artisan Design Team member – Sarah Sagert. I LOVED it the moment I saw it. It had a fun layout and great colors. I flipped it sideways, changed a few things, but kept the overall look and finally came up with something I am VERY happy with!

I was able to do a few fun things with MDS2 on this one.  I changed the color of the Twitterpated Ribbon from Riding Hood Red to Melon Mambo. See the fun little knot on the button? I cropped an Old Olive Baker's Twine bow to make it look more like a little knot. I recolored the once all one color stamp from the Convention 2012 set in a multitude of colors and then add coordinating Basic Rhinestones.

I thought I would add this as a larger image so that you can download this yourself as a fun little "printable". I think that this would look great framed in a craftroom or make a fun gift for a young lady…..
